Position for Auxiliary Social Worker 2 Yearexperience
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Support and assist the Social Worker.
• Facilitate and coordinate skills workshops, run job hunting workshops and assess the effectiveness of workshops.
• Assist clients to gain employment and link them to the appropriate training courses and empowerment opportunities.
• Network with potential businesses for job opportunities for the clients and local psycho-social support organisations.
• Represent St. Anne’s at meetings and network forums.
Requirements and Attributes:
Certificate - Qualified Auxiliary Social Worker with evidence of recent registration
Valid South African drivers licence.
• Minimum 2 years experience and powerful team player.
• Computer literate with exceptional administration, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and the ability to speak Afrikaans /African language with a good spiritual, physical and emotional health.
• Knowledge of professional protocol, maturity to assume the responsibility of young women in care and an open opinion on teen parenting and adoption.
• Understanding / experience in faith based and NGO sector will be an advantage.
