Job Summary
Curro Hillcrest is seeking a passionate and experienced 1st Team Girls’ Hockey Coach to join our dynamic sports department. This is a part-time coaching position, reporting to the Head of Hockey and Head of High School, and working closely with the sports team and staff.
Job Description
- Conduct two afternoon training sessions and one morning session weekly.
- Ensure availability for all training sessions, match days, and umpiring duties.
- Develop and implement pre-season and in-season training programmes.
- Accompany players to district and provincial trials.
- Drive the individual and holistic development of players as high-level athletes.
- Identify and nurture talented players, creating opportunities for them to reach their full potential.
- Build positive working relationships with fellow coaches and managers.
- Uphold professional standards in punctuality, behaviour, and work ethic.
Key Skills / Requirements
- Has a minimum of five years’ coaching experience at a competitive level.
- Holds SAHA Level 2 (minimum) certification.
- Demonstrates a high level of playing and/or coaching experience.
- Shows strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Displays professionalism in punctuality, behaviour, and standards of work.
- Sexual offender’s clearance certificate (police clearance).
- Commitment to co-curricular activities and the pastoral approach of the school.
