Position for Sales Person / Tyres & Vehicle Repairs - Bestdrive Silverlakes - Urgent Position
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced sales person to sell:
• Tyres
• Brakes
• Shocks
• Suspension Repairs
• Batteries
• Vehicle Services.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Grade 12.
2. Valid Driver’s License.
3. Valid South African ID.
4. Tyre Sales Experience - minimum 3 years.
5. Vehicle Repair Sales (Preferred).
6. No criminal record.

The purpose of the job is to sell:
1 Tyres for Cars, 4x4’s and SUV’s.
- Including repairs, balancing and wheel alignment
2 Car, 4x4 and SUV Repairs such as:
- Brakes
- Shocks
- Automotive batteries
- Suspension repairs
3 Automotive services and Repairs.
4 Manage sales leads / quotes in a diary and follow up to convert leads into maximum sales.
Guide the customer in choosing the product/brand suitable for their needs. Ensure correct tyre size and specifications are used.
Perform safety inspections on all vehicles, with the technician, to diagnose problems on the vehicle (mentioned above) and to up sell repairs to the customer.
• Sourcing parts and get costing.
• Quote on repairs and closing the sales on the repairs.
Administrative tasks such as:
• Invoicing, taking payment, capturing stock, returning parts, process credit notes, filing, cashing up, communicating with customers with various means such as telephone, email, in person or WhatsApp to name a few examples.
• Handle general service enquiries and warranty claims.
• Using web-portals for checking / ordering stock, processing claims, registering warranties. Using Excell spreadsheets to look up tyres and pricing. Calling suppliers to check on stock and pricing.
• Fleet authorizations, sales, administration, submission of invoices and filing.
• Using product catalogues and web portals to look up part numbers, tyre sizes as an example.
The role is also responsible for:
• Manage the vehicle through the repair process and continuously updated and communicating with the customer.
• Working with Technicians to make sure parts are correctly supplied and manage any problems.
• Test drive vehicles after repairs for quality control and trouble shoot with technicians if necessary, reporting problems to the branch manager or selling additional repairs required to the customer to ensure vehicle safety.
